Information for those desiring a vocational retreat
The only retreats possible in a Charterhouse are vocational retreats, in order for you to examine if you are truly drawn to the Carthusian life of searching God in silence and solitude, and if you are fit for that life.
Please first review this web site and read the FAQ section on the MONASTERY page. If you feel drawn, write to the Master of novices at the address mentioned below stating your interest in the Carthusian Path and your desire to follow it, and what has lead you to believe it is an authentic calling form the Lord.
No one younger than 23 years old and older than 40 years old can be considered.

Women who feel called to the life of the charterhouse are advised to contact one of the monasteries of Carthusian nuns (as of today two in France, one in Italy, one in Spain and one in South Korea). There is no Carthusian monastery of nuns yet in North America.
